Are you looking for something fun and educational for your kids to do this summer? Little Steps Pediatric Therapy has several programs coming up in the next few months, and it’s not too late to sign up. Here’s a brief overview of the activities each program involves and what our campers will learn.
Learning to ride a bike is a significant developmental milestone for many children. To help kids master this skill, the Little Steps hosts Bike Camp sessions. Each attendee must be at least 5 years old and have their own bike and helmet.
This program covers various skills and topics, such as obstacle navigation, starting and stopping, balance and coordination, and more. During each five-day Bike Camp session, our pediatric professionals/counselors will guide campers through activities to help them achieve that day’s goals (e.g., balancing on the bike without pedals).
June 10-14, 3:30-4:30 p.m. OR 4:30-5:30 p.m.
July 15-19, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
August 12-16, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Social Skills Camp
Children must hone their social skills to thrive at school and in other environments where they’ll be expected to work and play together with others. For kids who could benefit from practicing social skills like forming friendships and working effectively in groups, Little Steps offers Social Skills Camp for 3- and 4-year-olds.
This program helps participants develop various social abilities, gain self-confidence, build peer relationships and more. A speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist will be present to guide campers through activities, games and snack time.
Wednesdays and Fridays 9-10:30 a.m.
June 26-August 16
The Little Steps team is excited to announce an upcoming dance program for kids 5 to 8 years old who love to move to music. Marisol, an occupational therapist and certified Rhythm Works Integrative Dance instructor, will lead the class, which will meet once per week for six weeks. Dance Camp will involve using music and defining rhythm patterns and purposeful movement while learning hip hop.
We’re always adding more dates to our programs. Call us at 847-707-6744 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for the latest details about all our upcoming camps.
