Alex Manning, PT, DPT, Pediatric Physical Therapist
Alex graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish and a Global Health certificate. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northwestern University.
Alex has experience working with patients across the lifespan with a variety of diagnoses, in settings such as the neurological intensive care unit, subacute care, long term acute care and outpatient orthopedics. However, she has held an interest in pediatrics since working as an aide at an outpatient pediatric therapy center, both on land and with aquatic therapy. At Northwestern, Alex participated in research regarding parents’ attitude towards physical therapy. She also participated in “Go Baby Go,” a program designed improve the mobility of kids through play in order to further their development. During her pediatric rotation, Alex worked with patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and in an outpatient pediatric therapy center. She has experience working with neonatal abstinence syndrome, prematurity, torticollis, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bífida, toe walking, in-toeing, developmental delay, as well as a variety of genetic conditions.
Alex was born in Chicago and is excited to be back in the city and ready to help both kids and families reach their goals!
