Kathryn Maher, PT, DPT, Pediatric Physical Therapist
Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from St. Ambrose University. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago.
Kathryn coached gymnastics to young children for 5 summers during her undergraduate education and has been interested in working with kids since she decided to be a physical therapist before high school started. Kathryn was exposed to a variety of diagnoses while in her graduate training and clinical education, as she had clinical experiences in both a special education school setting and a children’s hospital. She also had experience in the outpatient orthopedics setting. Diagnoses she has been exposed to include but are not limited to: cerebral palsy, down syndrome, post-op spinal fusions, developmental delay, autism, genetic disorders, and sports related injuries. All of these experiences have prepared her to provide the best care possible in a fun and exciting way for the children she treats. She can’t wait to get started working with families and helping her patients reach their full potential at Little Steps!
