Kimberly George, MS, OTR/L – Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Kim graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services with a focus on Child Development. She completed her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. Kim’s experience working as a child life specialist for 9 years in a children’s hospital gave her the opportunity to work closely with occupational therapists which led her to a career in Occupational Therapy.
Kim is an experienced therapist who has worked in a variety of settings, supporting children, families, and other professionals in schools, hospitals and private practice. Kim has over 6 years pediatric experience working as an occupational therapist with children ranging from 5 to 21 years of age. She currently works at a therapeutic day school in Chicago for children with emotional difficulties and autism. Kim has worked with a wide range of diagnoses including, but not limited to autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression, PTSD and trauma, mood disorders and developmental disorders.
Kim is passionate to make sure each child achieves his or her highest potential through individualized treatment plans while enjoying themselves and feeling successful in the therapeutic process. She is excited to be part of the Little Steps team and looks forward to collaborating with clients and their families.
