Shannon Murphy, PT, DPT, Pediatric Physical Therapist
Shannon graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University.
Throughout her clinical education, Shannon has enjoyed connecting with patients of all ages, but takes a special interest in working with children and their families. Shannon has experience treating children in the outpatient pediatrics setting, in an orthopedic facility, and through aquatic therapy. She enjoys challenging children’s functional abilities in a motivating, and fun environment with creative interventions. Over the years, Shannon has volunteered with several causes that promote the wellbeing of children, including coaching a soccer team for children with special needs. In addition, she participated on a research team that assisted in development of a functional assessment tool for children with cerebral palsy. Shannon has experience working with children with diagnoses including, but not limited to: cerebral palsy, toe walking, developmental delay, torticollis, Autism spectrum disorder, genetic disorders, and microcephaly.
