Vanesa Corado, Lead Teacher & Spanish Interpreter/Translator, Director of Academic Activities

Vanesa_coradoVanesa graduated from Northeastern Illinois University and received her bachelors in Bilingual/ Multicultural Education with minors in Sociology and Latino/Latin American Studies. She has always had a passion to work with children and began her work as a volunteer tutor in middle school.

Vanesa is Little Step’s Spanish Translator and Interpreter a lead teacher in the preschool readiness program. Throughout the years and extensive research projects Vanesa saw the importance of family and the community surrounding the child and the impact it has on their development. Her teaching philosophy is focused on creating a classroom environment that will encourage children to learn from one another. She bases her curriculum around each individual child and their strengths while assisting in areas that are difficult for each child, everyday tasks, and activities that are hands on and just fun!

  • State Translator and Interpreter
  • CPR certified in pediatrics and adults
  • Illinois Association of Multilingual Multicultural Education member
